Where East and West build the connection.
Tourism Vancouver sought to strengthen the city’s position within key Asian business markets, attracting more conferences, corporate meetings and incentive travel to Vancouver.
Core Mantis was engaged to create a multilingual campaign that would present Vancouver as more than a leisure destination—showcasing it as a sophisticated, globally connected setting for business events and memorable shared experiences.

Existing materials were largely written for leisure travellers and translated rather than strategically adapted for an international business audience.
The campaign needed to communicate Vancouver’s business-ready infrastructure, global accessibility, cultural diversity and spectacular natural setting within one compelling story. That story also needed to remain relevant and persuasive across languages without losing clarity, meaning or visual impact.
The strategy moved beyond literal translation to consider what international business decision-makers needed to understand about Vancouver as an event destination.
Vancouver was positioned as a natural meeting point between East and West: a globally accessible city combining modern event infrastructure, cultural diversity and world-renowned natural beauty. This central idea gave every piece of the campaign a clear and consistent argument.

Where East and West build the connection.
Not a translation exercise. The work started from what actually matters to an Asian business audience, and built the message from there.
Core Mantis developed a flexible campaign system designed to communicate consistently across languages, formats and markets.
Culturally informed messaging was paired with a visual direction that balanced Vancouver’s urban sophistication with its natural character. Typography, imagery and graphic elements were carefully structured to accommodate multilingual content without compromising hierarchy, clarity or brand recognition.

The campaign came to life through multilingual brochures and promotional collateral tailored to international business audiences.
Each piece brought together Vancouver’s venues, accommodations, transportation, culture and natural experiences within a cohesive narrative—giving Tourism Vancouver a persuasive set of tools for presenting the city to conference planners, corporate decision-makers and incentive-travel organizers.

The visual system was designed to extend across digital and mobile environments, demonstrating how the campaign could reach international audiences through a consistent and adaptable destination presence.

A campaign platform that let Vancouver speak to Asian business audiences in their own terms — positioning the city as where East and West build the connection.
